2026 Spring Update

2026 Spring Update

Deadlines and Announcements for 2026 Crop Year

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to service your MPCI crop insurance.  As an added service, we have mailed out a spring update letter. Enclosed in the envelope you will find a form listing your current coverages and contracts. If you would like to make any changes or add any crops, make sure to contact us by March 15th.  Listed below are important dates to remember with your crop insurance.

March 15th:  Final date to make any changes to your plan: level, unit structure, and transfers.  Also, you must contact us to add a contract (add a crop) or written agreements, i.e. – new breaking, uninsurable crop type.

  • SCO and ECO area coverage plans are available for MPCI; SCO offers coverage up to 86% and ECO can cover from 86% up to the 95% level.  New for 2026, RMA has increased the subsidy for all crops covered by SCO and ECO to 80% to make the policies more affordable.

  • New to 2026 is CLIP. CLIP provides umbrella revenue insurance that works in conjunction with individual commodity RP polices designed to offer an affordable option to insure your commodity policies up to the 85% level using your own yields and production.
