📌 Early‑Season Reminders for Producers

• Check your crop stands. Take a close look at emergence and early growth. Thin areas, washed‑out spots, or stressed seedlings may qualify for a replant—document issues early so you can visit with Leon if needed.

• Report prevented planting acres. If you were unable to get acres planted, be sure to report your prevented planting acres and file a claim within the required timelines to keep everything compliant.

• Forage producers: inspect alfalfa stands. There have been reports of plant damage in some fields due to disease or insect pressure. Early detection is key, please notify our office to file a claim.

Acreage Reporting

As planting season wraps up, don’t forget to take care of your crop insurance. Now’s the perfect time to report your planted acres! If you’re tech-savvy and enjoy using precision ag, we have tools to help you report your acreage digitally. Prefer to skip the tech? No problem—submit your information the usual way. We’re available to review your acres in the office before your FSA appointment. If you’ve already reported to FSA, just have them send us a copy of the maps and producer prints. Remember, the deadline to report your acres for crop insurance is July 15th.
